The Rural Development Administration nurtures Korea’s own native rapeseed seeds and cultivates them organically throughout Jeollanam-do, centered on Haenam, the tip of the land, and certified as a domestic NON-GMO variety by the National Agricultural Products Quality Management Service.
Tangkeut Dure was established through joint investment between the Korean Peninsula Ttangkt Red Soil Eco-Friendly Agricultural Cooperative Corporation in charge of production and Durae Co-op in charge of consumption. After that, we started collaborating with the Mokpo Bio Center of the National Academy of Food Sciences, Rural Development Administration, and developed rapeseed seeds that can be double-cropped after rice cultivation, established cultivation manuals, and secured large-scale rapeseed farms. In addition, we are opening a full-fledged era of domestic rapeseed oil by building a rapeseed oil processing plant. The head office will make further efforts to expand the domestic edible oil self-sufficiency base and contribute to public health.
